The heart of Rainbow Promise is beautifully reflected in Isaiah 61, a passage that has become the foundation of our ministry:
“The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favour…”
These words capture the vision of Rainbow Promise.
We seek to bring hope to those who feel hopeless, healing to those carrying deep emotional wounds, freedom to those trapped by addiction and destructive lifestyles, and restoration to individuals and families whose lives have been affected by trauma, homelessness, exploitation and hardship.
Everything we do is rooted in the belief that lives can change, recovery is possible, and every person deserves the opportunity to begin again.
